Established in 1970, the Uniwersytet Gdanski (University of Gdansk) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Gdansk (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Pomeranian Voivodeship. This institution also has branch campuses in Sopot, Gdynia and Hel. Officially recognized by the Ministerstwo Edukacji i Nauki w Polsce (Ministry of Education and Science of Poland), Uniwersytet Gdanski (UG) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Polish higher education institution.
