The World Maritime University Library boasts a diverse and extensive collection, encompassing over 20,000 books, journals, reports, and documents sourced from IMO and other UN agencies. Among its notable strengths is a particularly robust assortment in Maritime Law and Law of the Sea. However, the library's offerings extend far beyond its print materials.

Through its online collection of ebooks, e-journals, and statistical databases, the library opens the doors to over 400 thousand titles, enriching the learning and research experiences of faculty and students alike. Furthermore, WMU's dissertations, research reports, and conference presentations find a home on Maritime Commons, the library's digital publications platform established in August 2015. By the end of 2022, nearly 4,000 works were successfully uploaded, garnering over 2.5 million downloads from researchers in 234 countries and territories worldwide.

In addition to its extensive resources, the library offers a welcoming and conducive environment for reading and studying. Equipped with state-of-the-art scanning equipment and loanable laptops, it empowers users with modern library research techniques. The library also offers valuable classroom instruction, enhancing the information-seeking skills of its patrons.

  • Fellowships granted via WMU by international donors for students who cannot secure funding in their home countries. The majority of these fellowships cover the full costs of studying at the University, including the University fee, accommodation at the residence, a monthly living allowance, and an air ticket home after graduation. Others cover only the University fee. However, there is very limited donor support for the ESSP.
