Founded in 1970, the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Bangi (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Selangor. This institution also has a branch campus in Cheras and Kuala Lumpur. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Malaysian higher education institution. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
