Established in 1945, the Uzhhorod National University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Uzhhorod (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Zakarpattia Oblast. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Uzhhorod National University (UzhNU) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Ukrainian higher education institution. These dormitories accommodate approximately 3,000 students, including foreign students, student families, university employees, graduate students, interns, FPO students, and applicants.
The campus operates as a residential complex, adhering to Ukrainian legislation, standard regulations regarding student dormitories, and the Rules of Internal Procedure of the UzhNU University campus dormitories. It actively collaborates with the university's deans and institutes to oversee student conduct.
Within the campus, there are two student polyclinics, as well as student shops, cafes, and sports fields. Libraries and reading rooms in the dormitories offer free Wi-Fi Internet access. Additionally, modern sports facilities are available for students' recreational use.
The student campus serves as a structural subdivision of Uzhgorod National University, where the administration is committed to providing conducive living conditions in the dormitories. They regularly update the material and technical infrastructure, set the primary directions for economic and social development, and manage all activities and organization within the student campus. Additionally, there have been individual trips to Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Ireland, Canada, Latvia, Netherlands, USA, Serbia, Taiwan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Switzerland.
As of 2022, the purposes of these trips are distributed as follows: 49% for internship (scientific, scientific-pedagogical, linguistic), 22% for participation in international conferences and forums, 16% for exchange of experience and development of international cooperation, 9% for partial course of study, and 4% for humanitarian goals.
