Founded in 1951, the Eesti Maaülikool (Estonian University of Life Sciences) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Tartu (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tartu County. Officially recognized by the Eesti Vabariigi Haridus-ja Teadusministeerium (Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia), Eesti Maaülikool (EMÜ) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Estonian higher education institution. Eesti Maaülikool (EMÜ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
