For students coming from foreign countries under existing agreements, the mobility request must be submitted in writing by the student's home institution to UFRN's International Relations Office (SRI). The request should include the following documents:
UFRN recognizes the responsible department or, in its absence, the coordinator of the student's program at the home institution as the intermediary for this request.
Upon arrival at UFRN, students must visit the International Relations Office with the required documents, including the original and a copy of their Student Visa issued by the Brazilian Consulate and the original and a copy of International Health Insurance.
SRI initiates the request process, includes a report citing the agreement, and forwards the process to the course coordinator or department head for evaluation, even if acceptance is already agreed upon.
If negotiation of the work plan is necessary, SRI can facilitate this process.
After approval or rejection, the process must be sent back to SRI, along with the agreed-upon work plan or agreement on the original plan. The coordinator needs to sign the form on its final page.
When the process returns from the course coordination or department head with approval, SRI is responsible for:
The Acceptance Letter serves as a legal instrument for obtaining a student visa from Brazilian diplomatic authorities in the student's home country. It must be signed on letterhead, with official stamps and registration numbers of the signatories.
If it's the first exchange with the partner institution, negotiation of the Addendum Agreement terms will be conducted by SRI concurrently with the work plan negotiation.
