Founded in 1950, the Universitas Indonesia (University of Indonesia) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Depok (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), West Java. This institution also has a branch campus in Jakarta. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Indonesia (UI) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
