Founded in 1974, the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (Santiago University of Technology) is a private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Santiago (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has branch campuses in Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, Mao and Moca. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, República Dominicana (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic), Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: over-50,000 students) coeducational Dominican higher education institution.
