Overview

Founded in 2006, the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE) is the government regulatory body responsible for overseeing the provision and quality of higher education in Zimbabwe. It was established in 2006 under the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education Act.

ZIMCHE is responsible for the accreditation and registration of all higher education institutions and programmes in the country, ensuring that they meet national standards for quality assurance and education. It also advises the government on matters related to higher education and works to promote cooperation and collaboration among institutions of higher learning in Zimbabwe.

Considering all this, according to uniRank ZIMCHE plays an important role in ensuring that Zimbabwean higher education institutions provide quality education that meets national and international standards.
