The Institute of International Education (IIE) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote international education and cultural exchange. It was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in New York City, with offices in Washington D.C., Chicago, Denver, Houston and San Francisco, as well as 18 offices overseas.
The IIE offers various programs and services for students, scholars and institutions. It administers scholarships, fellowships and grants for study and research abroad, as well as language training programs and professional development opportunities. It also provides advising and counseling services for students who are interested in studying abroad and helps institutions with international partnerships, recruitment and program development.
In addition, the IIE conducts research and publishes reports on trends and issues in international education. It also advocates for policies that support international education and cultural exchange and collaborates with other organizations and institutions to promote these goals.
