Established in 1974, the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) is a state agency responsible for overseeing and coordinating postsecondary education in Alaska. It serves as a central point for information and advocacy on higher education matters and administers state financial aid programs to help Alaskan students pursue their educational goals.
ACPEs mission is to promote access to and success in postsecondary education and career training for Alaskans. To achieve this mission, ACPE provides a range of services, including student financial aid, college and career planning, academic and career readiness support and education policy analysis and development.
