Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy

Founded in 1957, the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) is a consortium of US institutions and international affiliates that operates world-class astronomical observatories and facilities. It was founded in 1957 and is headquartered in Washington, DC.
