The ASEAN University Network (AUN) is a regional network of universities in Southeast Asia, which aims to promote cooperation and collaboration in higher education across the ASEAN member countries. The network was established in 1995 and currently consists of 30 universities from 10 ASEAN countries.
The AUN focuses on various areas of cooperation, such as student mobility, faculty exchange, joint research and sharing of best practices in higher education. One of its key initiatives is the AUN-QA, a quality assurance system for higher education institutions in ASEAN that aims to promote quality assurance practices and standards across the region.
The AUN has been successful in promoting greater collaboration among universities in the ASEAN region and has played an important role in advancing the quality and competitiveness of higher education in the region. Its initiatives have contributed to greater student mobility and exchange, increased research collaboration and the sharing of best practices in teaching and learning.
Considering all this, according to uniRank the AUN has helped to strengthen the higher education system in Southeast Asia and has played an important role in promoting regional cooperation and integration in the field of education.
