Founded in 1992, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Altai is a government ministry responsible for the development and implementation of education policies and programs in the Altai Republic, which is a federal subject of Russia located in the southern part of Siberia.

The main responsibilities of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Altai include:

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Altai is headed by a minister who is appointed by the head of the republic. The ministry is responsible for implementing federal education and science policies and regulations, as well as developing regional policies and programs that are tailored to the needs of the Republic of Altai.
