Established in 2017, the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Ministria e Arsimit, Shkencës, Teknologjisë dhe Inovacionit, Republika e Kosovës) is a government ministry in the Republic of Kosovo that is responsible for the development and implementation of policies in the fields of education, science and technology. Its main tasks include:
- Planning and implementing policies related to pre-school, primary, secondary and higher education, as well as adult education and vocational training.
- Managing and overseeing public schools and universities, including ensuring the quality of education and promoting student achievement.
- Encouraging and supporting scientific research and innovation.
- Promoting the use of technology in education and ensuring access to digital resources for students and teachers.
The ministry is committed to ensuring that every student in Kosovo has access to a high-quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances. Its efforts are focused on promoting education as a means of social and economic development and on building a skilled and knowledgeable workforce for the future of Kosovo.
