Foundation of Portuguese Universities

Established in 1993, Fundação das Universidades Portuguesas (Foundation of Portuguese Universities) is a non-profit organization that was establishedby the rectors of the Portuguese public universities. The main aim of the foundation is to promote and facilitate cooperation and exchange of experiences between the universities, as well as to represent them in national and international fora.

The foundation acts as a platform for collaboration between the Portuguese universities and promotes joint projects and initiatives. It is responsible for the management of several programs and funds, such as the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT), which aims to support research and development activities in Portugal.
