Overview

The Superintendencia Nacional de Educación Superior Universitaria - SUNEDU (National Superintendency of University Education) is a Peruvian organization responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education in the country.

It was established in 2014 as part of a larger educational reform effort. SUNEDU's role includes conducting evaluations and assessments of higher education institutions, accrediting programs and institutions and enforcing compliance with established quality standards. It is also responsible for maintaining a public database of accredited institutions and programs.

National Superintendency of University Education's efforts aim to improve the overall quality of higher education in Peru and increase access to higher education for all Peruvians.
