Overview

The Fédération des Universités du Monde islamique (Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World) is an international organization of universities from predominantly Muslim countries. Its mission is to promote cooperation and collaboration among member universities, advance higher education in the Islamic world and contribute to the development and progress of Muslim communities globally.

The organization was established in 1987 and has over 200 member universities from over 50 countries, including universities from Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
