Founded in 1861, the Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca (Ministry of University and Research) is a government ministry responsible for the development and implementation of policies related to education, universities and research in the country. Its main tasks include:
- Developing and implementing policies related to pre-university education, vocational training and higher education.
- Overseeing and managing public schools, universities and research centers.
- Supporting and promoting scientific research and innovation.
- Developing policies and initiatives related to international cooperation in education and research.
The Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca works to ensure that all Italian citizens have access to quality education and training opportunities, as well as opportunities for scientific research and international cooperation.
