Founded in 1948, Fédération Internationale des Universités Catholiques (FIUC) is an international federation of Catholic universities and other Catholic higher education institutions. Its mission is to promote collaboration among its member institutions in the fields of research, teaching and community engagement and to foster the development of higher education in the Catholic tradition.
FIUC currently has over 200 member institutions in more than 70 countries. Its member institutions range from large research universities to smaller liberal arts colleges and specialized institutes.
International Federation of Catholic Universities's activities include organizing conferences, workshops and other events for member institutions to share best practices and collaborate on research projects. The federation also advocates for the values and principles of Catholic higher education on a global scale and works to promote dialogue and cooperation between Catholic and non-Catholic institutions of higher learning.
