Overview

The Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) is a non-profit association of universities from around the world, established in 1993. The group is named after the city of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where the first meeting of member universities took place.

The CGU currently has over 70 member universities from Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa and Asia. Its main objective is to promote cooperation and exchange among member universities in the areas of education, research and cultural exchange.

The CGU's activities include the organization of academic events such as conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as the development of joint research projects and exchange programs for students, faculty and staff.
