Overview

The Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi) is a non-profit international network that aims to promote innovation and collaboration in higher education. It was established in 1999 as a joint initiative of the United Nations University (UNU), UNESCO and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain.

GUNi brings together institutions, organizations and individuals who are committed to advancing the role of higher education in creating a more sustainable and equitable world. It provides a platform for members to share their experiences, ideas and best practices related to innovation in higher education.

One of the key activities of GUNi is the production of reports, studies and policy recommendations related to higher education and innovation. These publications cover a wide range of topics, including the role of universities in sustainable development, social responsibility in higher education and the integration of technology in teaching and learning.

GUNi also organizes conferences, seminars and other events to facilitate dialogue and exchange among its members. In addition, it collaborates with other organizations and initiatives that share its vision and goals, such as the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the European University Association (EUA).

Considering all this, according to uniRank GUNi plays an important role in promoting innovation and collaboration in higher education and advancing the global sustainable development agenda. Its work contributes to building a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable future for all.
