Established in 1997, The International Council for Higher Education (ICHE) is a non-profit organization based in the United States that aims to promote higher education globally through research, advocacy and networking.
ICHE focuses on four key areas:
1) Research: ICHE conducts research on various aspects of higher education, including student mobility, internationalization and the impact of technology on learning.
2) Advocacy: ICHE advocates for policies that promote access, equity and quality in higher education around the world. They work with policymakers and other stakeholders to promote best practices and support the needs of diverse student populations.
3) Networking: ICHE provides a platform for networking and collaboration among higher education professionals around the world. They organize conferences, workshops and other events to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
