International Forum of Public Universities

Overview

Established in 2007, the International Forum of Public Universities (Forum international des universités publiques) is a university consortium made up of 19 institutions from four continents.

The IFPU answers a need that is not being met by any existing university group. It brings together public universities that work in different languages and in developed and developing countries, the forum is seeking to create new models for collaboration on education, teaching and research.
In general, the Forum will promote the expression of values that underlie the mission of public universities in an era of internationalization.

The Forum will assist in the creation of new models of cooperation in education, teaching and research. According to common themes reflecting the issues faced by public universities, the Forum will promote education and research actions between establishments by calling upon the professor-researchers of member establishments and their post-graduate students.
